Straight Pride Parade: The Follow-up

I decided not to go witness the straight pride parade organized by a small group of reggae artists. Instead I thought my time was better spent drinking in the middle of the day in my underwear at home and watching a Star Trek marathon on TBS. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea because based on the photo on brownstoner no one showed up.

Stapler, of the music label TCOOO, was behind organizing the parade and believes the gay community targets reggae music because “99 percent of the artists are African-American”.

Right. That’s it. It probably has nothing to do with the blatantly homophobic lyrics that promote violence against gay people. They must be okay with that. Especially the ones who are both African/West-Indian American and gay.
